Tree of Life Wellness Center
Yoga 1,2,3
Class Descriptions:
Yoga 1,2,3 accommodates all levels of ability and experience. Taught in a vinyasa style, we will visit many poses, each linked with breath and movement. Props are available along with guidance for modifications for those who are just beginning their yoga journey. Longtime practitioners will be encouraged to find their edge of each pose and to express that pose in the way that is most beneficial to them as well. Each class ends with self-guided meditation and relaxation poses. This combined class is a wonderful opportunity for unity and appreciation within the yoga community for our different journeys.
Vinyasa/Yin combo class:
Half fast to moderate paced vinyasa flow, and half yin, these classes begin with a fun, challenging, and inspiring Vinyasa workout. We will link breath and movement as we flow through a series of postures that will warm the body, build strength, and develop mental focus. The second half of the class is devoted to visiting poses designed to eliminate stress and tension and take advantage of the body’s warmth to experience deeper stretches. Each class ends with meditation and relaxation poses.
Restorative Yoga:
Restorative classes are slower-paced and geared towards healing, eliminating chronic pain, and balancing active lifestyles or demanding physical activity. Each pose is held from 2 to 10 minutes with corresponding focus on the breath. With intentionality we will address the connective tissues and the fascia, accessed through the longer holding times. Each class ends with an extended relaxation, guided meditations and encouragement.
